2006 → 2026. Twenty years later, the raid is back.

HABBO RAID
2026

Last time we took the pool. This time we're taking the Thrones.

Illustration: rows of golden thrones, the same suited raider with an afro sitting on every one.

THE LOOT

The Loot

Thrones taken: 0

Every throne and egg we buy gets a raider and a receipt. Click through and check. We'd check.

THE SUPERVISOR

Someone has to keep the books. He types up every throne we take.

    How we take a throne.

Animation: a Habbo sits on a golden throne. A raider sneaks out of the door, creeps up behind him, takes the throne from under him and runs off, leaving him on the floor. The throne flies into the raid wallet.

Dramatisation. In real life the raid fund pays for every throne, and the receipts are above.

    HOW THE RAID WORKS

    Three steps. We counted.

    1. You trade $.
    2. % of the trade goes to the raid fund.
    3. The fund buys items. The receipt appears above.
    THE LORE

    July 2006. The pool.

In July 2006, thousands of us logged into Habbo Hotel wearing the exact same avatar: black suit, big afro.

We walked to the pool, lined up around it in neat rows, and told everyone it was closed. Nobody swam that day, the moderators couldn't keep up, and the hotel went offline.

It was pointless, it was coordinated, and for a lot of us it was the first time the internet moved as one crowd. Twenty years later, people still say “pool's closed”, and some of us still own the suit.

    THE MISSION

Make people fall in love with Habbo again.

No roadmap. No utility. Just the raid.

    HANGOUTS

    Next room party.

We show up. We stand in rows. We say hi to everyone. That's it.
